Future Leaders Program

The Sir Richard Williams Foundation has launched its inaugural Future Leaders Program in 2026 for 14 participants nominated by Chief of Navy, Chief of Army, Chief of Air Force, Chief of Operations, Chief of Joint Capabilities and Deputy Secretary Capability Acquisition and Sustainment.

The one-year Program is designed to provide a professional development opportunity for emerging ADF and Defence civilian leaders by giving them access to contemporary thinking by Defence and industry leaders, Foundation Directors and other national security experts at Foundation-hosted events.

In 2026, the Foundation's events will be focused on the development of the Objective Integrated Force (2026–2030) and the Future Integrated Force (2031 and beyond), supporting an ADF that is capable, resilient and fit for purpose across all domains.  Participants will be able to engage directly with these contemporary strategic challenges, including by contributing their own insights.

At the end of their one-year Program, participants will be encouraged to stay connected with the Foundation as it further develops its strategic themes informed by the National Defence Strategy 2026 (NDS26) and beyond.
